Scrap-n-away is a scrapbookers dream nestled in the mountains surrounded by trees and nature. Scrap-n-away is a 3400 square foot home situated on over an acre and a half, which makes for a secluded and relaxing environment. You may only be an hour away from Santa Clarita but you will feel like you are far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We do get snow in the fall and winter but just enough to be fun, rarely enough to need chains. We do get visits from the jackrabbits, deer, raccoons and birds so be sure to bring your camera.

Scrap-n-away has 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. The bedrooms are decorated with a country feel and the beds are made with soft flannel sheets and cozy quilts. The bathrooms are all newly remodeled and stocked with fluffy white towels, fancy soaps lotions and candles. Hair dryers, shampoos and conditioners are provided for you.

The family room upstairs has a cozy wood burning stove and a big screen TV. You can curl up on the couch with a book or a movie any time you like. Hot cocoa, tea and coffee are available 24 hours a day so you can grab a cup and sit by the fire if you like.

Downstairs is where the 580 square foot scrapbooking workshop is located away from the living area of the home. The workshop is filled with the best tools and product for your use and purchase. The workshop is so big that we are able to give you FOUR FEET of workspace (3 feet is just not enough, especially for the whole weekend). The Workshop also has a TWELVE FOOT workbench for eyelet setting, stamping, punching, die cutting etc. Take a look at the list of supplies we have for you to use. You will really be able to spread out! We are big on keeping you comfortable! We supply our guests with ergonomically correct chairs that are adjustable and have arm rests (no folding chairs here). Here at Scrap-n-away we know that some gals are always cold while some are always warm. Soooo, we have 4 separate heaters and 4 separate ceiling fans, we promise to keep the warm cool and the cold toasty! Lighting is key! Therefore, all of our guests get their own OTT Lamp. It is our mission at Scrap-n-away to offer the best workshop around, we are constantly adding new products and tools, and suggestions are welcome. Movies can be watched in the workshop while you crop (feel free to bring some of your favorite "cropping music" to share). Snacks and chocolate are served around the clock in the workshop. The computer, printer, scanner and software are conveniently located in the workshop.

There is a 1400 square foot deck that wraps around the house and is a wonderful place to sit and take in the sounds and smells of the mountains. There are comfy chairs to sit on so feel free to grab your book or one of our scrapbooking magazines and relax outside while getting a breath of fresh air. If you want to take a nature walk there is no need to even leave the property, as we are on over an acre and a half. There is a wonderful hot tub located on the deck so don't forget your swim suit. The stars at night are unbelievable and the hot tub is one of the best places to view them from.

We know that some guests will want to work on their albums all night long while some guests will want to get to bed early. Because the Workshop is located downstairs away from the living area, those that want to get to bed can without being disturbed by the "all nighters" While the beds at Scrap-n-away are super comfy we know that it can be hard to sleep well when away from home, so we give all of our guests ear plugs and we brew sleepy time tea for those that would like some. Our guests that want to scrap all night do not need to worry about keeping up their sleeping friends as they will be tucked in upstairs away from the noise in the workshop.
